Evolving as a studio metalsmith-maker is a sensory and experiential journey. It means overcoming procrastination and taking risks; letting inhibitions down and challenging your creative mind to whisper, nudge, to shout and scream. In my own studio, I continue to evolve and to take risks with different medium: unusual stones, gemstones, and metals, working predominantly with sterling and fine silver, and more recently, 14K pink gold, to create pieces that require the synergy of my mind, materials and my hands. I gravitate towards organic expressions with a sense of movement, combined with interesting textures and finishes.
